We got to share our curated ~Market to Table Experience~ with @emiiini all the way from Denmark 🇩🇰✨

We explored one of the biggest spice markets in West Africa—Nima 🌶️ connected with local aunties, tried some street snacks, and sourced the freshest ingredients along the way.

Back in the kitchen, we cooked a Northern Ghanaian meal—TZ, Ayoyo & Zongo Stew 🍲 and had the most beautiful conversations…
From Muslim migrant cultures in Ghana to the surprising connections between Ghanaian, Danish & Indian cuisines, and even deeper conversations around food importation and sustainability.

I can boldly say we didn’t just cook…
we shared stories, exchanged cultures, and created something that goes far beyond the plate ❤️✨

Eid, the way we do it at home 🤍✨

From pre-Eid chaos to Eid morning pressure 😂—it’s always been a full family production.

Henna and lenle the day before, pots on fire before sunrise, and my mum running the whole operation like a general 😭… by 7am, food is already on the move to neighbors and loved ones, and by 8am she’s shouting “GO AND BAFF!” like your life depends on it 😹

Then it’s prayers, more cooking, more sharing, and finally… KASHI-KASHI-KA vibes 💃🏽🤣

Post-Eid? You still have to step out looking fresh or go visiting family—no excuses!

This year hit different though… first time in years celebrating with my family 🥹 I didn’t even plan to go, but my mum said “not on my watch” and made sure I showed up properly dressed 😂❤️

And this year, we shared food in honor of my late grandad, Adamu Alai. May he continue to rest in peace 🤍

Eid has always been special for us—the love, the food, the giving… I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🫶🏽✨
